I'm Ilmin Cho, a proud 2024 graduate of UMass Amherst with a degree in Computer Science 👨🎓. My journey in technology has been an eclectic mix of experiences and interests, shaping me into the software engineer I am today. While my professional focus lies in AI engineering, my curiosity often leads me to the fascinating realms of Large language model and Natural Language Processing. I would like to take a break from academic studies and engage in business to contribute my abilities to society. As I continue on this journey, I am excited about the endless possibilities that lie ahead and am eager to contribute meaningfully to the ever-evolving world of technology 🌎.
Born and raised in South Korea, my formative years were shaped by a deep-seated passion for intellectual challenges and a relentless pursuit of knowledge. This journey began with an exploration of mechanical engineering 🦾, where I honed my problem-solving skills, and extended into a role as a Telecommunications Operations Specialist 📡, further diversifying my technical expertise. My diverse experiences in these fields not only sharpened my technical acumen but also instilled a sense of flexibility and resilience, qualities that are indispensable in the rapidly evolving tech landscape.
In 2019, I made a strategic transition into software engineering 👨💻, a field that promised new challenges and learning opportunities. Embracing this new path wholeheartedly, I quickly adapted to the dynamic nature of software development, continually stepping out of my comfort zone to immerse myself in new technologies and methodologies. In this spirit, I remain dedicated to a lifelong journey of learning and growth 🚀.

These activities keep me healthy and allow me to connect with like-minded people.
